Where do you live

Sydney, Australia

What is the story of your brand and how would you like it to evolve

The name ‘Kharisma Ra’ was originally my FB alias about 10 years ago; ‘Kharisma’ is actually my middle name (stemming from Sanskrit) and I have always been fascinated by Ancient Egyptian culture, hence ‘Ra’, being the Sun God.

In 2010, I visited India for the first time after being drawn there since I was a child – but… long story short: I met the Father of my daughter, came back to Australia, quit my job, left my house and flew back to Nepal to live the nomadic life creating jewellery and selling it along the way.

My daughters Father had been a traveling Artisan from Argentina for about 10-12 years prior and he taught me everything about the nomadic artisan life. That is when ‘Kharisma Ra’ became the brand behind the jewellery. Crystals and the more ‘spiritual’ way of being had always been a part of who I am since I was a child, so it all seemed so fitting, like destiny.

I had a baby in 2012 and continued to travel the world, documenting my journey along the way but, as life happens, my relationship dissolved, and life had other plans for me.

I went deep into some painful lessons about life and the human condition but through the unfolding of that chapter, I was led to go back to studying. Now I am studying to be a registered counsellor whilst also learning alternative methods of healing too.

I had often found people organically gravitating toward me for advice about life, especially in regard to the more ‘spiritual’ side to life, as I sell crystal healing jewellery, so as per usual all the dots were coming together.

‘Kharisma Ra’ is a brand that is growing from more than just jewellery; moving towards more of a healing and wellness concept. As I evolve and heal with my own gifts and knowledge, I will soon be offering more services in 2020, the rest of 2019 is focused on building a stronger base, while still offering my jewellery.

What inspires you and helps you get into a creative flow

Originally, travelling to foreign lands and experiencing other cultures was the main influence when I was solely creating jewellery but now my inspiration comes more consciously from my own inner journeying.

I am always seeking to learn and evolve.

Meditation and dance are probably the main two that get my creativity flowing but more recently I have been learning shamanic journeying that is greatly influencing my perspective of reality and therefore, my creativity.

What is the message that you want to express through your product/service

Inner wellness is always my message and always the intention behind everything I do. It has always been the intention behind what I created as a jewellery artisan and it is the intention behind the expansion in my career choices too. I want only to assist other people to feel more comfortable on their journey through life (which is not to say life is easy or that it is always rainbows and sunshine.)

What does the word beauty evoke for you

Beauty is when I can feel Great Spirit/Source working behind the scenes, in whatever which way that may be. Beauty is when the light touches the darkness and when the darkness touches the light. Beauty is the never-ending spiral of creation.

What is a motto/quote you are living by right now

Trust your intuition.
